Indian Spring Country Club hero background

Indian Spring Country Club

An established 55+ golf community in Boynton Beach with optional (not mandatory) golf and social memberships, low HOA dues, and accessible pricing across condos, villas, and single-family homes.

Most buyers look at this community when they want newer construction with gated security and family-focused amenities. It works best if you value predictability and low-maintenance living. The tradeoff is HOA rules and less flexibility compared to non-HOA neighborhoods.

Indian Spring Country Club: Budget 55+ Golf—Without Mandatory Membership

Most buyers look at Indian Spring when they want access to golf and a country-club lifestyle in a 55+ community—without being forced to buy a membership. That optionality is the whole point.

This works best if you're a 55+ buyer who wants the option to golf and socialize at a club, an affordable home, and low base HOA dues—while keeping control over whether you pay for a membership at all.

The tradeoff is that this is an older, established community, and homes and condos vary in condition. The club is more accessible than the big equity clubs, but it's not the newest or most luxurious. If you want a mandatory-equity prestige club, look at Hunters Run or a Boca club.

Community Overview

Indian Spring is an established 55+ golf community in Boynton Beach, with a manned gate, 24-hour patrol, and a mix of condos, villas, and single-family homes. Its club shares operations with the nearby Fountains Country Club. This is a 55+ active-adult community.

Homes & Pricing

  • Condos, villas, and single-family homes
  • Single-family examples generally ~$425K–$575K; condos meaningfully lower
  • Average sale around $373K

Resale pricing runs from roughly $175,000 (condos) to $600,000 (single-family). Built-out resale market.

Membership, HOA & Costs

The key differentiator:

  • Golf and social memberships are OPTIONAL—you are not required to join to buy (the one exception is the Laurelwood subdivision, which requires a one-year membership).
  • Base HOA ~$387/month (range ~$300–$700 by residence type and subdivision), covering manned gate, 24-hour patrol, lawn care, cable, trash, and common areas.
  • If you choose to join: initiation ~$2,501–$10,000, annual dues ~$5,001–$10,000, across golf and social tiers.

Because membership is optional, Indian Spring is a fit for both golf-minded and non-golf 55+ buyers.

Why Buyers Choose Indian Spring

  • Optional (not mandatory) golf/social membership
  • Budget-friendly homes and low base HOA
  • Golf access without an equity commitment
  • Gated, 55+ with 24-hour security

Who Should Skip Indian Spring

  • Want a prestige mandatory-equity club → Hunters Run or a Boca club
  • Want the newest construction → The Valencias
  • Want all-ages / family → This is 55+ only
  • Want zero club nearby → A pure non-golf Valencia

Rachel's Perspective

Indian Spring is my answer for a specific buyer: "I might want to golf, but I don't want to be forced into a big membership." Few communities give you that optionality at this price. The homes are older, so condition and the right subdivision matter (and remember Laurelwood's membership requirement). If it's on your list, I'll confirm which sub fits, the exact HOA, and the real cost of membership if you want it.
